Creating Effective Banners

Blog

Outdoor FlagsBanners are an effective means of attracting a large number of potential customers and clients. However, some marketers fail to fully utilise them. Often their designs lack the ability to catch the attention of their audience or they place it in a low traffic area. Below are some things to consider in getting the most out of your banners.

Use large and easy to read text

The first thing to consider in making your banner is to make sure everyone can read it without any problem. Some advertisements are often ignored or fail to catch anyone’s attention since its message isn’t clear. This is often due to the text being too small or in an unusual font style. Do the opposite with your banners. Make your text large enough for people to see and do not use fonts with a complex design. This will make your call-to-action message much more effective.

Use bright colours

Using bright colours on your banners can help attract attention to it. Contrasting colours can also make it stand out more. For example, black text and images can make use of a light yellow background. The contrasting colour can make your design seem as if it’s floating towards your target audience.

Choose the right colour scheme

Colours have a significant effect on an individual. This is due to how it can be associated with your emotions. Using the right colour can evoke the right stimulus in your target audience. Doing this can increase the chance of turning them into potential customers. To help you choose the right colours, read the list below:

  • Red – Represents energy and excitement. Recommended for fast food restaurants or fitness centres.
  • Blue – Represents calm and intellect. Recommended for educational establishments or computer companies.
  • Green – Represents nature and health. Recommended for hospitals and cafes.
  • Yellow – Represents cheerfulness and creativity. Recommended for day care centres and candy manufacturers.

Place your banners in a high traffic area

Once you have a banner with your chosen design, you need to consider where to place it. It is recommended to set your advertisement in an area where your target audience is located. For example, if your company is an energy drink manufacturer, you may want fitness centre members to easily see it. To do this, set your banner near gyms or health centres. If your product is available to the general population, place your advertisement on a train or bus stop.

Make more than one banners

Never assume a single banner is enough to gather a large number of prospective customers. Always make at least two or more signs in different formats. This allows you to spread your message in different areas where your target audience often frequents. Remember to use banners with different designs according to the area where you want to place it. For example, outdoor areas are suitable for flying or teardrop banners. Pull up banners on the other hand are great for indoors.

By following everything mentioned above, you can turn your banners into an effective marketing tool for your business.

Customised Calendars: Bring Business Calendars To Life

Blog

Customised Calendars: Desk CalendarsWe’ve all heard the saying “fail to prepare, prepare to fail.” In the business world it’s as true now as it ever was. Any business, to be a success, needs to be well organised. Organising everything that’s going on in your business life can be difficult though. You can start things off with a customised calendar.

A well-printed customised calendar will help you plan board meetings, events, transactions, meetings with clients and more. Many businesses, however, neglect the need to purchase calendars that are printed with quality.

Here we’ll look at how expert printing can bring a business calendar to life and help you stay on top of your workload. To ensure that you’re going to get the most out of your customised calendar here are a few things you should consider.

Customised Calendar: Paper

As a general rule, the cover of your business calendar should be thicker than the rest of it. Most companies customise their calendar with their logo, or motto on the front of the business calendar, but I recommend putting a motivating quote on there. If you want to make the most out of it why not use it to invigorate your staff? For the inside of your calendar 2015 I recommend paper that is only slightly less thick than your cover sheet.

A thicker, glossier business calendar feels like a more quality product. It’s also a good idea to use colour in your calendar that promotes productivity. Colours like blue, green and yellow are all said to have beneficial effects on productivity.

Customised Calendars: Desk Calendar NotepadsCustomised Calendar: Size

Secondly you should consider where the business calendar is going to go, and how big it’ll need to be. The larger the calendar the easier it’ll be to read. Some businesses choose to buy lots of customised calendar and distribute them to staff members who can then place them on their desks. This means that all staff members can organise their time effectively and improve the efficiency of the business.

Customised Calendar: Template

Once you have decided on the size and type of paper you’re going to use then it’s time to start looking through templates. You’re going to want your business calendar to look great, and more importantly, be functional. There are lots of templates online that you can sift through so have a browse and find one that’s right for you. Take a look at the many designs we currently have in our festive collection for ideas.

If you’re printing more than one customised calendar, I recommend printing a proof copy off so that you can see how it looks and if there any changes that need to be made. Get in touch with your local The Color Company branch for a quote on bulk printing.

Customised Calendars: Printing

When it comes to the final print you shouldn’t compromise on quality. Quality printing shows employees that you’re committed to offering good, sturdy and useful items to help them work. Examples can be found at thecalendarcompany.org

So there you have it, 4 tips to ensure that your customised calendar is right for you and your business needs.
